A New Beginning (2007-Current)

After leaving CyberJocks, I took a couple of months off to decompress. I hadn’t taken more than a five day period off in the ten years previous. I used this time to collect my thoughts, evaluate my life, and try to figure out where I wanted to go in the future. Numerous things crossed my mind, and I got a call in late November that would really change things.

My good friend and former roommate, Sol, told me that he company he was working at had lost a PHP programmer and that they desperately needed somebody. Although I had felt a little but rusty after doing more managerial work in the previous year, I felt that it would be a good opportunity for me to get back into the web world and start doing development work again.

I have now been at Core101 for nearly two years. In that time I have gotten married, bought a house, and have used the knowledge I built up during my years at CyberJocks for positive things at Core. I have already met some amazing people, who in many ways have already started to shape and mold me some more. I have many great things to say about many people who have given me chances to grow and mature again, but I feel it would be premature to list it all out now, as this chapter of my life is still in full swing.

I have had a fortunate couple of years, and I expect hard times will come again in the future.. However, as I have realized throughout my life, it is the hard times have molded me into who I am today. Each time I have found myself at a crossroads, I have tried to take the bad situation and turn it into good.

My father always told me that positive things happen to positive people.
